West End is a poor man's South End, or so the saying goes. Colloquially, the region known as West End is everything South of the airport. It is a strange, semi-historical district, that was built over the site of a bloody civil war battle (commemorated via the Monument Park), and even older colonial pogrom of native population, commemorated by the Old Church triumphally built on their graves. It is home to the Porthaven Cemetery, and the strange manor transplanted from Eastern Europe by an eccentric millionaire.
